Updated: 3 days ago

Easter is one of the most wonderful times of the year, full of hope and new beginnings. Hosting an Easter brunch with family and friends is a fantastic way to celebrate the season, and create beautiful memories with those you love. We've put together a few things to keep in mind to make it a success day.

Plan Ahead

The first step to hosting a successful Easter brunch is to plan ahead. Decide on a date, time, and location for your brunch, and send out invitations to your guests, or even an eVite will work. Make sure you give your guests plenty of notice, so they can make arrangements to attend. Moms you know planning ahead will help eliminate the stress come the day of your brunch. Remember it doesn't have to necessarily happen on Easter Sunday.

Set the Perfect Table

We know that whenever we host a dinner party or brunch the food is ofcourse important, but the table is the star. Creating the right atmosphere is key to any successful party. For an Easter brunch, consider decorating your table with pastel colors, fresh flowers, and Easter-themed decorations. We found some great pieces to add to your existing collection of Spring decor to ensure your table is ready for your guest.

No Spring table is complete without a gorgous table runner to tie your design together. A table runner is a simple yet significant addition to any dining table. A spring-themed table runner with pastel colors, floral patterns, or other seasonal designs can instantly transform your table and create a welcoming atmosphere. It can also serve as a base for your centerpiece or accentuate your place settings, making them stand out even more.

And don't forget to add some height to the table with a matching vase and some tall flowers or berry steams like we have found here. We love the idea of these white vases with berry and egg steams flanking the dining room table for brunch or just one as the centerpiece.

You could also include a few seasonal dishes such as asparagus or ham. Don't forget to provide vegetarian and gluten-free options for any guests with dietary restrictions.

Appetizers:

Deviled Eggs: These easy bite-sized appetizers are a staple of any Easter brunch. Simply boil and peel eggs, then mix the yolks with mayonnaise, mustard, and seasonings to create a creamy filling. Top with paprika or fresh herbs for an extra pop of flavor. Serve on your favorite egg platter or check out a few of our favorites.

Fresh Fruit Platter: A colorful and healthy addition to any brunch, a platter of fresh fruits such as strawberries, grapes, kiwi, and pineapple is a great way to balance out the heavier dishes on the menu.

Main Dishes:

Ham: No Easter brunch would be complete without a delicious ham as the centerpiece of the meal. Whether you prefer a glazed ham or a honey-baked ham, be sure to slice it thinly and serve it with a variety of mustards or sauces.

Quiche: A versatile and crowd-pleasing dish, quiche can be customized with a variety of fillings to suit any taste. Try a classic quiche Lorraine with bacon and Swiss cheese, or a vegetable quiche with spinach and mushrooms.

Asparagus Tart: Asparagus is a traditional spring vegetable that is perfect for an Easter brunch. Try serving it in a flaky puff pastry tart with a creamy cheese filling for a delicious and elegant dish.

Sides:

Roasted Potatoes: Crispy, roasted potatoes are a delicious and easy side dish that pairs well with any main course. Simply toss small potatoes with olive oil and seasonings, then roast until golden brown and crispy. So easy and a crowd pleaser.

Green Salad: A light and refreshing green salad is a great way to balance out the heavier dishes on the menu. Try a mix of baby greens, cherry tomatoes, and cucumber, with a simple vinaigrette dressing. This is an easy go to salad that you can throw any salad topping in.

Desserts:

Hot Cross Buns: A classic Easter treat, hot cross buns are sweet, spiced buns with a cross on top. Serve them warm with butter and jam for a delicious and nostalgic dessert.

Carrot Cake: Another Easter classic, carrot cake is a moist and flavorful cake with cream cheese frosting. Top with chopped nuts or grated carrots for a festive touch.

Don't Forget the Drinks:

No brunch is complete without a selection of drinks. For an Easter brunch, consider serving mimosas, bellinis, or a refreshing fruit punch. Make sure you have plenty of non-alcoholic options available as well.
